Now entering its twelfth year, the Light Opera Company of Salisbury was founded by soprano Georgia McEver, who brought her friends from the leading companies of New York to rural Connecticut to sing and perform alongside a chorus of local citizens - the doctors, lawyers and schoolteachers who live in and near the rural towns of the Litchfield Hills. Drawing on the best musical and directorial talent in the region, the company has presented top-quality productions each year, all for the benefit of local charitable organizations.

Performing with LOCOS offers young professionals the chance to work alongside some of the greatest performers working today in light opera, in a relaxed country atmosphere and in front of an appreciative and loyal audience.
